Hi there!

Thought I'd dip my toe in the water as they say by joining the owners club.

I've recently returned to the world of Subaru ownership having not owned one since my turbo 2000 model way back in 2003, since then I had the obligatory partner, house, kids, more kids and general sensibleness of life.

However after some time spent looking I finally found my way back when I found my 05 STI Sidetrack with full PPP having located it after it has been in storage for 12 months and in great condition with low low miles for its age.

Absolutley loving having that thrill of a car wanting you to drive like a hooligan again, this car really does make me smile and other than a few tiny stone chips and a tiny bit of rust to the roof I can't really fault it. The only thing I have noticed is under hard acceleration the car does want to pull slightly to the right, just wondering if anyone on here has had this or heard of this issue before and could offer me some advice??

Thanks

Hello & welcome

I'd start with looking at the tyres & geo set up in it's been stored for that period of time, was it on stands or were the wheels on during storage ? Would be worth checking the calipers as the pistons have a habit of seizing on the stock 4pots too

Cheers for the reply

The car was not on stands, I've checked all the tyres and no damage that I can see so far but i'm getting it on the ramp soon to see if there is anything wrong with the track rod arms etc. i'm not that mechanically minded so I'm hoping I can get it sorted.

I will ask at my garage to check the callipers thanks for the advice.

I'm soon to give her a major service drop all the fluids etc and treat her to some new spark plugs.

If it's been stood for that amount of time in the same place the tyres would probably have gone 'square' at the lowest point will be worth getting them checked by a garage
