car has not been parked up only done 800 miles since last mot new discs and pads just been fitted told belt should be changed at every 45000 miles or 3 years car has been fully serviced from new at subaru dealer thanks for your previous reply

No problem mate

It still wouldn't bother me aslong as it's been stored well. Sat under a tree or on the side of a road I would change it :)

But as I said before if you have any dout's best to change it, for own peace of mind.

I would also check the brake calipers for the pistons being free - although the discs and pads are new - if it has been stood / used intermittantly, particularly with handbrake on, it is easy for a piston to sieze.
