Gambit Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I think you could make it fit with some cutting and welding, but not for a straight swap. For me I would think was a lot of work and would stick with a newage :)
Mr Dulux WRX Posted August 13, 2013 Author Posted August 13, 2013 What's with the strange face I just looked at my email and the face doesn't appear the word wacko does so what are you say !!!
Mr Dulux WRX Posted August 13, 2013 Author Posted August 13, 2013 Thank you gambit that's all I need to know I won't bother trying to make it fit I will keep looking for a new age pipe
Gambit Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 No problem mate. And the strange face is just a smiley like ;) :) :D
Mephiston2k Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Bought mine from scoobyworld, decent exhausts to be fair. I've the Ninja 2 back box and the rest of my exhaust is decatted too :D sod the mot lol
Mr Dulux WRX Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 So would you go complete decat or just the down pipe as I'm looking for a down pipe at the moment ?
Gambit Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Best sound and more power having it completely done. Downside is unless you know a good MOT guy or are happy putting the cat on for MOT every year it will fail :)
Mr Dulux WRX Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 What about these sports cats any good or a waste of time I've herd they still past the mot when fitted
Gambit Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Myself I've never used one My MOT guy is spot on with me, as long as the car is safe for use he passes it so I've not used a cat on my last 4 car's I think :D
Mephiston2k Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 The issue with trying to keep older parts is that bolts and nuts rust and can be a pain in the butt. It depends what you want to do with the car. Do you want more power later or is it just to make a little noise? If you want power, you'll need to decat the system or invest in a sports cat... personally I've never seen the point in the expense of one. If you just want some noise, I'd just get a cat back exhaust, decent air filter and leave it at that.
