Knock sensor

Featured Replies

My knock sensor is still retarding my timeing by 6 degrees but only now and again

I'm running on 99 fual

It has a new knock sensor

There are no air leaks

It's had new plugs

It's got the old to new coils on

Just had an oil change

Help

6 degrees isn't much and I wouldn't be that worried, mine typically pulls 2-3 degrees and that's with all new engine, gearbox mounts & pitch stop so maybe it's just picking up background noise too ?

I will try and change them it just seems it pulls down the power a lot

Have you reset the ecu since you changed the sensor ?
