dysopath Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Hello, I've just bought a Subaru forester 1999. The name is quite appropriate as I am a tree surgeon and landscape gardener. I wanted the non-turbo as I believe the turbos don't have a low box? I bought this to replace my primera GT which sadly failed its mot. So im hoping to use the forester as a work truck and to tow the caravan. And also to play a bit off road.
Jay762 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Wotcha and welcome - you have a great work horse there - get some photo's taken and dont be afraid to share ;)
Gambit Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Hi mate welcome I'm sure it will tick the boxes you are after it doing AWD ;) great fun :D And I agree feel free to share some pictures :)
dysopath Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 So far I've tinted the rear lights and side repeaters. I've also got a full bull bar to.go.on. Just need a couple of spacers to mount it. Do heko or similar make wind deflectors for a forester sf?
Gambit Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Very nice and no time wasted with modding her :) I like it. As for the wind deflectors I'm not sure.
dysopath Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 I can't help but start altering things... The orange primera in the pics was rather modified... Too modified that with the remap, etc it was overfueling to the extent it spat fuel on the mot tester. 2
Gambit Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Haha... You should have taken a lighter out and said " So it's past then" while flicking it on ;) I'm the same but never got it to that point :D
dysopath Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 That could have worked, I might not do quite as much to the forester. But a full stainless system with my high flow cat would be nice 2
stants Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 hi ! my sf had it's wind deflectors fitted in the uk so i'll dig the paperwork out and see what the invoices says for you 2
