I believe all car batteries have a date code, embossed/engraved onto either the top or one of the sides. Usually a series of numbers and letters (alphanumeric combinations, 6 or 7 characters) and some of the letters/numbers denote the date (month/year) the Battery was made. I have one in my car which I'm trying to find out how old it is (came with the car) and I dont know how Halfords mark their batts.
