Recently had some alarm/immobiliser issues which seem to be getting sorted thanks to some really useful advice in various forum posts on here. Wonderful to see such a supportive community! Sadly the Forester is likely to bite the dust -- the rust on the underside has weakened the floor considerably and the subframe holding the rear diff has rusted through. Looks like it would be uneconomic to repair as the car has 132k on the clock and an MoT due imminently. It's a pity as the car drives very well.
