Coolant

Featured Replies

Hi guys . Does anyone know how much coolant I will need to do a change , and what coolant are you guys using ? I know it's got to be oat coolant , I've got a coolant leak and I've just been topping it up for over a year now with Halfords pink stuff , but I've got new hoses to fix it now so want to put something good in , is buying concentrate ok I'm a bit sceptical mixing with water , but concentrate is considerably cheaper . Any help would be great

Ant oat will be fine just do a 50/50 mix with distilled water

I got advised Motul Inugel Optimal as a top of line coolant that is compatible with subaru's picky coolant choices, the capacity is supposed to be 7 litres so I got 2x5 litres to have a bit spare and it's done fine so far. It's all premixed too so just flush out the old and poor it straight in.
