Bouncer Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 I don't know the background on it ie if it's been mapped for vpower ect, I don't fill tanks I just put in what I need
Gambit Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 You're meant to run it on high octane fuels like the Vpower it's better for the car really but the ECU will learn that you are putting in lower octane fuel :)
Ash007ks Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 If you check the handbook for a Subaru it states only use 97 RON + as the ECU struggles to cope with normal unleaded and can cause nasty repair bills.
Gambit Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 I know a couple of Subaru drivers that only run it on 95 they haven't had a problem. But there cars feel really flat and take an age to boost or feels like it maybe it's me. But high octane is all I will use anyway :)
Bouncer Posted August 31, 2013 Author Posted August 31, 2013 If you check the handbook for a Subaru it states only use 97 RON I would if I had one.....doesn't matter now, I've got more serious !Removed! to deal with....see other post......car may well get scraped out sold for spares THIS time....see what happens
Jay762 Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 running on Vpower will return larger mpg as well as good response - worth the extra money
Bouncer Posted September 1, 2013 Author Posted September 1, 2013 That's what I've been using mind you, I just if I'd get away with u/l. .as v's 10p a ltr dearer, robbing fkrs!!
Jay762 Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Its a trade off - more money spent initially but travel further with a smoother more responsive engine
