Hi,

I've just picked up a 2014 WRX STi two days ago, LOVE IT!

The only thing is that it doesn't have the built in SAT NAV media unit.

Is there ways of changing this?

Hi and welcome to the club.  😁

I've got the same car but it came with a Pioneer head unit fitted, AVIC-F960DAB.

It's not a bad unit, Bluetooth, rear camera, connected to both USBs and steering wheel controls but I don't use the Sat Nav at all, in fact I've never updated the maps cuz I use TomTom Go (other brands are available 😁) on my phone, 3years world wide maps for around £35.

Might be a better option.

Thank you Pixyflash, and to the PMs I've had regarding this.

I've been back and fourth with the Subaru Technical IMGroup and they've come up with some great information and a progession step.

For future reference if anyone is ever in the same situation, looking to upgrade the media unit to the 7" Starlink infotainment system, Subaru have patch looms available through their accessories dept for the Starlink and for Pioneer units.

The only downside for the Starlink unit is that the reversing camera wiring is not in place and so that feature is not available.

If anyone in future needs the wiring diagrams for all three media systems then I have them from Subaru directly.

Welcome to the club. You'll have to post a picture of the car up soon :-) hope you enjoy her.
