Security displayed on head unit

Featured Replies

Hi all. Recently got a 2011 Forester which has the Subaru sat nav head unit. All ha been fine until the battery went flat the other day and the head unit just displays ‘Security’ and won’t do anything. Assume it’s an anti theft feature but what do I need to do to sort it?

Any help appreciated

Just had the same problem with my '09 outback. Only solution is a dealer visit to have it recoded.

I see you're in Manchester - if it's any help, Drayton Motors on the Wirral did mine yesterday while I waited and for the princely sum of a tenner!

Hi Jon. Thanks for the response - I replaced the battery last week and bizarrely that sorted it?!

All the best, Des
