Well, I spent yesterday afternoon putting the window tint film on the Forester. Could have done it quicker but I chose to remove the rear door drop glass to fit he film, it's a much better job, especially the cuts. Tip- don't even try the cheap film from eg Halfords, as it doesn't heat shrink to the concave shape of the rear screen. 3m film works fine. I'm painting my new spoiler this week & hopefully get it fitted for the weekend. I'm just going to use a plastic primer instead of having to add a plasticiser to the base coat. The spoiler is actually quite a rigid plastic so all should be fine. The tints make a massive difference, so I can't wait to get the spoiler on. (Suberu spoiler £275, unpainted isn't exactly cheap!)

I've paid to have all my tints done so kudos to you :) I wouldn't know where to start, but I do like my tinted windows good for perving ;) 

And I think it will look great with the spoiler from that picture I'm trying to see it with out the rails and think it will look amazing. Still :)

I'm going to put some stainless exhaust tips on too. Think that'll look col with the twin pipes. Don't know wether to put round ones on or Oval. What do you think?

I have an oval on mine and wish it was round so for me round. But I do get a nice tune out of mine being oval :D

i think single pipes are ok oval but twin ovals i'm not so keen, but it's how YOU want it to look that matters, just because we wouldn't like it doesn't mean you wouldn't, you'd get a better idea by looking at some images on google

and regarding tints, i have found that submerging the glass in the bath, or a kiddies paddling pool is bay far the easiest way to get great results, obviously you can't just pop a back screen out but for that i found talcum powder on the non sticky side of the film helps the squeegee tool glide over the film without scratching it

wrt the exhaust tips my opinion is single exit oval twin exit round - however both do look good (porsches for example have twin oval exits)

I pulled up behind a Rangey yesterday, it had twin oval pipes. It looked the part so gonna get a couple. Just noticed the actual aperture on the lower rear bumper spoiler is also oval so I think ovals will sit well in there.

On another note, (pardon the pun) I've just checked the average fuel consumption over 300 miles- it's returned 43.5 mpg!! That's with 170 miles motorway and 130 miles total town driving with the usual stop/starting, short cold runs to the shops etc. Well pleased wih considering its size/capabilities. It's also surprisingly responsive too. Our main car is a 3.0 litre bmw e93 (& I also ride a bmw 1200RT dohc ) so I was expecting the diesel boxer to be hard work in comparison, but it goes well. From around 2000 to 3500 rpm it pulls like a train, in any gear! (It sounds like one too come to think of it lol). Definately a good balance of mpg, performance & veritility.
