Hi guys, first post here so thanks for any advice!

Came in from the gym and pulled into the driveway and noticed at low revs I got a tap/knock noise, this is out of gear obviously. 107k on the clock and had timing belt etc replaced last year. Oil level is ok! Any thoughts?

The Cam belt tensioner can be known to make a knocking noise when it has gone bad. A bit like rod knock.

Doesn't make the noise when idling so could well be, better check that.

Does sound like potential nocking bottom end, gentle revs, circa 2k you'll ear it, Not saying 100% thats it, but get it checked out and drive it as little as possible till its checked to limit any potential further (and worse) damage

Ah feck, I better let my local Subaru garage take a look at it ASAP.
