Replacing the air filter with a k&n cone filter

Featured Replies

Good evening guys.

I have a 2009 Subaru Impreza wrx sti 330s 2.5L and I've been thinking about replacing the standard panel air filter with a K&N cone air filter, could anyone advise if this is a good or bad idea and if so is there something else I could do instead to upgrade the air intake?

Ask most subaru fanatics and they will tell you its pointless unless your going for “big” power amd it really needs mapped in. A good solution is to just throw in a better panel filter that firs the original air box like cosworth/ k&n ect

Okay cheers, been doing some research and that’s what most sources say also so think I’m just gonna do that.

Its a cheap alternative mate then if you go down bigger power route in future you can go cone filter.
