EvolutionUK1 Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Hi Guys, New to the Impreza WRX. I want to work on the car with the Battery disconected, but i disconected the negative terminal and the alarm went off. Is there a way to disconect the Battery on these without this issue? Bonet was obviously up. Standard factory alarm with one button on the fob. Ive done some research and i cant find a straight forward answer. Thanks in advance
Greenmamba Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Key out of ignition! When you disconnect the Battery, if the alarm sounds try silencing it using the remote button?
EvolutionUK1 Posted November 17, 2020 Author Posted November 17, 2020 Thanks for your reply. Yes key was out of the ignition, and the fob doesn't respond if the Battery negative is off... There must be a straight forward way to do it without !Removed! the neighbours off!? 😳
Greenmamba Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 Does the fob work normally? Do you have the alarm pin? If not Subaru should be able to supply it, assuming a previous owner didn't change the pin.
EvolutionUK1 Posted November 18, 2020 Author Posted November 18, 2020 Yes the fob works normally. Yes i have a pin sticker! Can the alarm be disabled? I see the legacy alarm can on youtube...
