new and needs advice

Recommended Posts

hello, i own a classic impreza and i am new to this as this is my first subaru i own. i would like some help and advice about it. its been parked up on the drive for many years untouched. we managed to get it up and running but i'd like some advice on the next steps. i know rust will be an issue, what else should i look for. and i am also looking to restore my car and bring it back to life.

Wotcha and welcome - If it has been sat unused for some time start checking around for oil leaks as they dry out through lack of use.

I would do a full service back to front replacing all fluids - oil, diff, brake. Check your tyres have not gone hard, brake caliper pistons not siezed. I would also consider replacing the brake lines - even stainless steel braided lines have the tubes go off over time.

Next would be going through the bushes seeing if any have perished

Safety first
