Electric shock

Recommended Posts

Hi there. My friend has a 2010 R C and got a smashed headlight, he taped it up for a temporary repair, not sure how well, since then as it has not yet been repaired he says he gets a constant ełectric shock through his steering wheel whilst driving, does anyone know of this happening on other cars and what could be causing it?

Thanks.

Wow - not heard of that before, however I would suggest you friend disconnects the plugs at the rear of the light itself inspect for damage there and see if the shocks still happen. They could also try touch earthing themselves to the car body before they get in the car as it may be static but that is a long shot.

Not quite sure how it would be getting a shock through the wheel - is there exposed metal??
