October 5, 201312 yr How the hell do you stop it, it's doing my t*ts in.....I adjusted on a car a few years ago as there room to "move" the catch to pull it down harder against the stops....so how's it done on the classic wagon, can it be done
October 5, 201312 yr given the lack of care your car has had I would check to see if it has not been bent but you should be able to adjust it
October 5, 201312 yr Author It's ironic, but this is on the one that's only had 3 owners in 15yrs, the one on the turbo's fine I'll have a look tomorrow
October 6, 201312 yr I'm sure there's some rubber stops on the boot you can wind out so it stops any moving, all I have to do with mine is gently close the boot with no pressure and it shuts straight away on the latch, passes me off as the wife and kids all slam it, but it doesn't rattle when I drive, are the bolts on the hinges tight?
