I now wish I'd kept it and got it fixed up after seeing the amount of turbos for sale, people just cant run them, simple as that

ok so there are quite a few out there in really good condition - oh and I have seen the classic for £595 with a noisy gearbox, I would not recommend you buying that particular one ;)

Thanks for links Gambit, it's appreciated....theyr'e all miles from me though, I'm in South Glasgow, I dont have alot to play with either right now, about 1500ish is my limit (for now). If I did travel to one, I would hope that a seller was up front about it, as I dont want to get there and it's all holed ect under it like mine was....I honestly think I'd hit them

If you see a car you really fancy get them to take pictures for you - many members on here have travelled quite some distance to get the car of their choice

 

but it is normally worth it.

i've travelled over 200 miles on a few occasions to buy cars, the best ones are always worth travelling to see, i'm always up front with the seller too and tell them they need to be upfront with me as i'll be getting up early and travelling a great distance and i'm not in a good mood at the best of times, plus i'm a big fella and if they have lied and i find out i'll be likely to give them a slap when i get there
