A couple days ago driving over a couple of speed bumps the speedo stopped working. At first boucing in between 0 and actual speed,  day later dead.

As per my research can be the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) or a connection behind cluster.

Also to mention is a EJ 205 turbo, automatic - 4EAT, JDM (with shifters on the steering wheel )

I know there is lots of knowledge out there,  can you please let me know what would be my best bet to start  first checking. 

If need to look for VSS it looks ike I need to take the intercooler off. Is that right? 

Is the VSS the same or at least looking like the manual transmission one ?
