Hi I'm mike from the north east of Scotland..

My subaru experience so far has not been so good

I bought my turbo 2000 as a toy to fix up about a month ago it was on the road for 5 days.

Problems so far

Diff and clutch had to be replaced (14 days off the road)

Maf sensor.

Boost control valve

Rear spring and shock went today( not been a fun drive back from Newcastle)

Still to do

Full respray (body ain't 2 good)

Needs new wheels (the ones on it have been playing with the kerbs)

So I'm not having a good time with the scooby right now until I get in the drivers seat and forget about all my problems. The power always puts a smile on my face

Will post pics soon

Wotcha and welcome Mike - sorry to hear about your issues, not a great start to your ownership - it is all good once sorted though so you definitely have something to look forward to.

Another member -Bouncer, is going through the ringer as well with his but the end may well be in sight for him and all will be great

Hi mike welcome to S.O.C

Sound's like you had got yourself a handful of a car there. But least you are on top of it :)

Some pictures would be great and we have a good few people from Scotland on here so please feel free to have a look around :)

Not 2 sure yet might just get a standard set to get me through the winter. Then look at something special in the summer I really like the wheels on it just now just a shame that they have seen better days

If you get the tyres off have a go at given them a refurb yourself I done that before. not as good as a company but soon makes them look a bit better :D

I'm thinking about this idea as well but will need it buy some standard wheels first

Sounds a bit like the time I had with mine matey :/ but when its sorted you will definitely forget about the problems :)

I do that then have the standard for winter if you like and it gives you all winter to repair and get these one's done to how you like them :D

Yup that's the plan now going to try post some pics the now if the iPad lets me

there is a photobucket app available to make it easier for picture upload

  • 4 weeks later...

doesnt look too bad - masking tape and some paint will sort those alloys out as a temp - thin spokes mean you can get away with some imperfections in the spray job - will spruce them right up
