Hi everyone, picked up an 03 blobeye wrx saloon last month. Recently I've discovered a problem with steering, mainly at low speeds.

When I turn right the steering becomes very heavy and the handbrake light comes on. Has anyone had this issue before? Any help would be appreciated, cheers.

Could be the peer steering pump. When mine was letting go I had similar symptoms, the brake warning and battery light came up on the dash, was to do with the pulley sizing and belt then slipping. 

Could be something like that
