My tailgate./boot struts have gone on my 2012 Outback.  Subaru want over £400 but it looks like I can buy replacements from a number of online parts retailers for a fraction of the cost, in the region of £25/£30.  I've got quotes by entering my car details/reg number etc. What are the pitfalls as I dont have experience of using the net to buy parts?  It looks too good to be true?

Thanks

Not Subaru but ,in the past have purchased suspension bits for a Peugeot 406 ,retail £48 plus vat  ea and off eBay for £16ea inc...couldn't tell the difference and I worked at a PSA dealership. So try them or buy s/h from a breaker.
