I have a 03 wrx with PPP, a friend is breaking a 55 reg STI UK, engine and brakes have already gone but I was wondering what other differences there are and things that may be worth changing.

Think im going to swap the interior this weekend for a start!

I know later models have a wider track and larger wheel bearings to improve heat dissipation.

 

check anti roll bar thickness front and rear

 

gearbox and clutch may also be different due to larger engine in the STI

Gearbox is 6 speed so yes very different ;) 

Thanks for that, The engine and complete transmission had already gone sadly. I will look into the roll bars.

They don't take long to sell if it was low milage :(

the back arms are different although will bolt up but you'll need all the links and bars to change it over, I'm looking into doing a full polybush and need a spare set so been looking at WRX models.

Just to say though depends on the price of the bars etc you may be better off grabbing some lovely whiteline goodies or similar bars to improve the chassis a bit if thats what your after?
