Apart from dropping the entire transmission to get the code number is there anywhere I can get the gearbox code?  Looking to replace transmission valve block and solenoids and need to ensure the correct box(just in case  it all needs replacing)

Breakers all want the gearbox code but its not accessible until the whole unit is dropped. 

On manual 5 and 6 speeds the code is on a white sticker on the bellhousing near the starter motor (ty####) .

Otherwise if its definitely the original box it might be on a silver id plaque on the front suspension turret .
