SubaruStu Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 Hi, Hopefully someone can help me please! I got 3 warning lights on the dash- engine light, electronic park brake and flashing cruse control and the code p0409 on the code reader (exhaust gas recirculation sensor A circuit ) So I have cleaned the egr valve and tried again but lights and code come back. EGR moves freely now and motor works when I apply power. Not sure what to look at next ? is there a sensor in the egr or ? Other codes that come up are P0401 (resurculation flow insufficient detected) & P0403 (Exhaust gas Resurculation control circuit) Also does anyone know which fuse the egr runs on ? (as I haven't found a detailed enough diagram.) Thank you in advance Simon
SubaruStu Posted March 21, 2024 Author Posted March 21, 2024 Sorted it out 😀 I figured out the spring was broken so that is why it was not working. I put the new one in and all error lights and codes went away by themselves. All the best, maybe this will help someone else
Mr Flowers Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 Hi I have the exact same problems. What spring did you change? Location? R
SubaruStu Posted October 29, 2024 Author Posted October 29, 2024 Hi, There is a spring in the egr valve so you will have to change the whole valve I think. But also worth opening it and trying to clean it first as it might just be stuck if you are lucky as a can of egr cleaner is much cheaper than a new egr valve.
