ImsterWRX
Hi I hadn't driven my car in several weeks and after jump starting it I took it for a spin up the motorway I noticed when I was driving at motorway speed when I put the clutch down to change gear the revs climbed so quickly to the read line. I was worried it would damage the engine as I know the 2.5 engine has reliability issues. The engine management light came on and I nursed it home. When I tried starting the car after parking tge Battery was dead. The Battery was replaced a few months back Cam anyone help or gad a similar issue
Tidgy
By revs climbing do you mean the clutch is slipping? or throttle sticking?
ImsterWRX
No clutch is fine. A friend suggested it night be a sticking throttle cable
Tidgy
I believe it will be drive by wire rather than cable so could be the throttle position sensor, def need to get it looked at.
