Hello everyone. Greetings to Subaru users! I have a question about the towing bar. Have any of you set up a tow bar at Exiga? And do you know where to buy such a set for the 2016 model? I will be very grateful for help in this matter. I have been trying to find such a set on the Internet for 2 months now, but it is a little-known car in England. Thank you

An Exiga isn't really a good car for towing.

If you've got a CVT gearbox then definitely not a good choice.  It's designed to put power to the wheels and has been designed with that engine, and that car in mind.

If you've got a traditional auto box then you're in a better place.  Manual boxes are usually the best option.

EJ engines are thirsty as they are so towing, like roof racks, will plummet your mpg.

Not saying that you can't, and any tow bar fitter will sort you out, but it's not really the tool for the job.

I agree with David wholeheartedly. Not the tool for the job.

However I am still fitting one,  we have a small 1.2x1.8 trailer for gardening rubbish, bicycles on holiday, odds and ends. At the very worst some firewood every 2 years. Also remember that some folks use towbars for bike carriers.

What I have been able to find is a link to a local NZ based company's webpage. Looking at that it seems that the same towbar goes for every Exiga 2008 to 2016:

I can't confirm this, I plan to get one from a local breakers yard off a 2008 model. I reckon even if it cant fit perfectly it should be close enough to enable me to modify it... whatever it does I'll post the results. Or lack thereof.

Now. Anybody knows where the electric connection plug is for plugging the trailer loom is? I would prefer a plug in loom over hard wiring into the trailer lights.
