Hi , I'm new here and just recently the owner of my first Subaru , I have a 2.0l 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Hawkeye its a Japanese import and I'm being messed around by insurance companies. before buying it I did find others on autotraider etc all imports and the same spec as I didn't have a reg for mine yet as it was recently imported at that point and I managed to get quotes on compare the market at around £1.5k (£136 a month), when I bought the car I insured it with admiral as it was the cheapest prices on the quotes , the reg was accepted and it came back as £180 a month , when I called in with a different problem they listed the spec of my car and it came back as a Type UK and 2 wheel drive which most definitely isn't , Are there any fair companies for insurance that will have my car and insure me as a 21 year old as the ones I've called and received quotes from have been £7k+ even though the quotes I got on a car the exact same were from £130 a month to around the £180 I'm paying now for completely the wrong car

Hi , thank you everyone , sorry for the shockingly late reply ,and thank you all who replied to help , I have ended up with admiral still as everywhere else was less than before but still 3k+ a year or there was an age restriction . Turns out the first few people I was talking to there weren't acknowledging it was classed as a grey import ,still a horrendous price but it's...doable ,very much worth it though
