jimlad74
My front and rear fog lights have give up, the fuse int blown, also my dial isn't lit up either, any help please
Gambit
I would check the earth mate and the resistors, another common thing that happens is people force the wrong bulbs into the headlights and rear lights that can also make the lights work but stop fog or break lights from working so I would check those too if you have not long bought the car. And welcome to S.O.C

Jay762
Wotcha and welcome - as the fuse has not blown that would rule out a wire shorting to earth somewhere so echo what Gambit has said check your connections
Scooby Pete
Welcome to the club. My front fog stopped working, when I checked the blade connectors both had green corrosive gunk on them, I cleaned them with Vinegar, yes fish and chip vinegar :) . Got all the gunk off and they were fine.

Gambit
No mate they should be left disconnected unless you are reading the error codes :) And I think a auto electrician is best bet if you're not confident enough to pull bits out and have a look around but still might end up needing one. I'm not great with stuff like that either :D

Jay762
buddy - you cant go taping wires together - fair play having a go yourself but in future it would be worth you investing in a multimeter - they are so cheap now - just to check the voltages in the wires before you do - or just sort out a lamp with some tape and a bit of wire to see if it lights by connecting the wire to a bare piece of car metal http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Professional-LCD-Digital-Multimeter-VoltMeter-Ammeter-AC-DC-OHM-Tester-Checker-/330919946996?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Test_Measurement_Equipment_ET&hash=item4d0c5daaf4
