February 20, 201411 yr Check this out. Horrid rotting foam on the back of my intercooler. I've not seen this on other pictures. Seen it before? Standard part? Replaceable? Looks like crap so I need to do something about it.
February 20, 201411 yr I have seen it on the top of bike and car radiators - it is there to get the air to flow through the fins not over the top, you can replace it for a better look or fashion a plate
February 20, 201411 yr Mines all sticky so i've just left itas it's black you can't really see it. Dread to think how hard it will be to remove it as i guess it will only come off in little lumps
February 20, 201411 yr Author Id remove IC itself And replace it with a new one? I think taking it off and using heat, scrapers and chemicals will do the trick. Then I'll look for the right kind of foam to replace it with.

Then I'll look for the right kind of foam to replace it with. no, just to scrape the old stuff off and replace - will stop all the crud burning off on the exhaust pipes etc and smelling if you did it in situ plus back ache leaning over to get it off

February 21, 201411 yr Demon tweeks my missus got me a new pod from at Christmas service was spot on, and very helpful had a bit of a chat with them on the phone too while sorting out the returns about Gopro's :D
February 21, 201411 yr Unfortunately wrt to Dopey Twits I have had the complete opposite on successive occasions and would never recommend them.
