February 27, 201411 yr the turbo back i've bought the down pipe is one piece replacing the first and second cat, like thisGD SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI EXHAUST DOWN PIPE DECAT 01- DP7650 I think the 2nd decat pipe looks like this if you were to keep the cat in the down pipe http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-impreza-wrx-sti-2nd-decat-pipe-exhaust-/161233031168?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item258a3cd000 note the angles are a lot sharper however you would still have your standard mid/intermediate pipe in place and then the rest of it is cat back i.e. the pipe you are looking at and a back box hope this isn't more confusing
February 27, 201411 yr You got 2 cats technically , you get a decat downpipe then a centre pipe , that has a resonator to try quieten it down a bit but don't work like a cat

February 27, 201411 yr Nope I've made my mind up in my non-professional opinion that is an intermediate/mid pipe you are looking at not a decat pipe lol It will still fit though
February 27, 201411 yr Author I think so too because it looks the same as other decat pipes just with the res box in..... If it was just eBay listing that said decat then I'd be weary but having Googled it loads of sites say the same as the ad

February 27, 201411 yr It's definitely Decat pipe and anything can be made to fit. Just cheaper if it's a straight fit :)
February 27, 201411 yr I've fitted decat uppipe, 3" decat turbo back exhaust, with a small res box and rear box, it's not that loud, just releases the proper boxer sound to it's full potential :D

March 2, 201411 yr Just gone for sports cat and twin resonated centre section.3" all the way through, Sounds nice not overly loud no drone just a little burble at idle. (And i can her the turbo spooling up now) :-) I wasn't looking for major prefomance gains or something to wake the world up. I just didn't want to pay dealer prices to replace a dead exhaust. So far seems to be running well can t see any gains as to power (i wasnt expecting to be fair) Boost is falling withing the same ranges so no spiking or overspool. Only thing i'm not happy with is the 'all inc price' didn't include a new tubo gasket so i'll have to change that soon
March 3, 201411 yr Author so I got out bid on yet another mid decat pipe last night, that's three now so I went back on ebay this morn, and come across a 2.5 inch decat down pipe rather than the mid pipes I've previously been looking at, which was listed 10 min from my house :) picking it up tonight so will try and fit later in the week
