Jay762 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 it can be done however the cost of individual parts plus time to complete the job outweighs buying a turbo model model in the first instance. So if you want to do it purely for the challenge feel free to create a new project thread and you will get lots of help and encouragement :)
Tlag Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 As above. You cant just bolt a turbo on a NA car, you would need a turbo engine to start with, plus a lot of supporting ancilleries, wiring, ecu, etc. Financially its just not worth it. Plus, you would pay more insurance on that than you would on a standard turbo car.
Gambit Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I 3rd it mate not really worth the cost but if you do have deep pockets and choose to have a go at doing it we welcome project threads :D
BoozyDave Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 not worth it, even if you do the turbo engine swap, it will still have crap brakes, suspension, ARB's, wheels. just buy a turbo model 1
gampla Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 it was just an idea as a bloke at work was on bout putting a turbo on it as for brakes a bloke i went to college with has a set of Brembo street upgrade brakes
