wagonman Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 hey guys and girls i have a 2000 impreza wagon turbo i have recently just changed from a tdo4 to a tdo5 turbo as it started leaking the car has a few other mods full stainless and decat ,yellow injectors, induction kit. the car ran fine at first but after boosting like a stabbed rat it had a little hiccup and has gone into limpmode flagging an air mass fault . i believe it will have just maxed out its air and fuel mix. need a good remapper any recommendations in yorkshire cheers
quit Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Would get that mapped quick mate You need a ecutek dealer , simon at jgm does mobile mapping
GavLadLeeds Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Andrew Carr did mine. I had overboost problems with my 06 WRX and gave him £150 to tweak the mapping. He has a good reputation. A full remap is £300 from him. Depends how much power you want!
Scooby Pete Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 The 525ish is usually for a licence and remap. If the car has been mapped in the past then it's from £150 upwards depending on what you want, ie launch control, anti lag ect.
wagonman Posted July 15, 2014 Author Posted July 15, 2014 hey guys cheers for the advice. looking for around 360bhp for now . bigger upgrades to follow but need some brass . may even make a pickup conversion :) with antilag . ill look into all them , ill be in touch
GavLadLeeds Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 My car had not been remapped before. £150 is what I paid for tweaks. £300 was for a full remap. I too thought £600 was the going rate as they were "closed" ECU's and needed a licence. You can imagine how delighted I was to pay so little!
LukeandRobbugeye Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 we used simon (jolly green monster) at surrey rolling road and was £600 for map ecutek licence and rolling road print out (354.4) at flywheel ;) 1
Scooby Pete Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Just Give Simon (Jolly Green Monster) a call he will sort you out and he is one of the best around.
