paulwist
Where is the fuel filter located on 2007-12 2.0 petrol Imprezas?
paulwist
I've searched all over for an answer to this but without success. Does anyone know?
Jammy Johnny
I could be wrong but I think it is located next to the brake fluid reservoir
Gambit
I know on the newage it's on the passenger side behind the windscreen washer bottle a little bit further back towards the back of the engine bay on top.

paulwist
Thanks for the replies. I've found what I think is the filter mounted sideways next to the nsf turret. Is this it? It's only 4cm deep. The supposed correct replacement from ECP is 10cm deep with the outlets at a different angle (sorry for the poor picture). Is this the correct replacement part as I don't think there's enough space to fit it?
paulwist
I took a couple more pictures in the daylight so can anyone confirm whether this the fuel filter? If it is, where I can get a like for like replacement?
Gambit
It shouldn't be that hard to get to mate here's a picture of where it should be it's easy enough to get to and change.
paulwist
That's not the set up in my car. What I think may be the filter is mounted low down and sideways below the fusebox and furry pipe in this picture: Its also a third of the size of the supposed "correct" replacement part from Eurocarparts. That's why I keep asking!
paulwist
Still no nearer an answer. On a North American Subaru forum (discussing an 08 2.5 Impreza) someone suggests the filter is part of the fuel pump assembly. Does anyone know? paulwist
I've now confirmed this by looking at the Blueprint catalogue. Unfortunately, there is no part listing for the filter. I wonder how much Subaru charge for replacing this?
