Bottom Radiator Hose for a 2005 Forester XT

Featured Replies

Noticed a very small coolant leak on the drive this morning so I put the forester up on the ramps and removed the under tray.

It seemed as though the bottom hose had a slight split in it around the jubilee clip that connects the hose to the bottom of the radiator.

On closer inspection after cleaning around the hose and clip I found a pinhole in the hose @ 5mm away from the jubilee clip.

I would like to replace the bottom hose rather than used Radweld to hopefully stop the leak.

As mentioned the leak is tiny at the moment so the forester is still driveable.

Found a used bottom hose on Ebay for £ 25.75 :o so I am wondering how much it will cost for a new one.

Where is the best place to acquire a bottom radiator hose fairly quickly please?

Thanks.

Try www.importcarparts.co.uk normally ship next day if you cant find what you wanylt call them up as they usually have 90% of stuff in stock but sometimes not on site

Thanks for the reply.

Had a look on their website but couldn't find radiator bottom  hoses for my XT.

Tried Eurocarparts and GSF too but no luck as yet.

Think the bottom one may be a generic part across certain years. ?

If I could find out  the internal diameter of the hose without removing it then I could perhaps just order a straight length of suitable hose.

Thanks for the reply.
