Hi there can any one tell me will my legacy twin turbo 2000 model will get better performance with decat . Or I have read that it will spool up the turbo and actually lose performanc can any one help me in my quest for performance just by doing simple mods at the moment I am a newbie to the scooby world so need a bit of guidence from mavrick

TLag will probably be able to add some detail but removing the cat will provide less resistance to the exhaust flow out of the pipe so the turbo should spin up quicker.

 

With that said you may not notice any difference doing that in isolation as having an improved air flow away from the engine helps when you improve the air flow in as well - things like induction kit / high flow filter.

 

What would you like to achieve with your motor that means considering the removal of the cat?
