bessie Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I have just been quoted a very silly price by my local Subaru dealer for an updated disc for my 2008 Forester's built-in satnav I have the 2006 disc at the moment. Does anybody know if there is another way of getting an up to date disc at a more sensible price, please? Thanks!
stants Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Have you had a look for some free firmware on the old internet ?
majik_thighs Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 eBay!.......you will need a cosher disk, I very much doubt you'll find a copied one. Sent from my GT-P5110 using Tapatalk
stants Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 file sharing sites apear to have them, although I would never encourage illegal downloads 'coughs'
bessie Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 Thanks everyone. I will investigate. There are a few items on eBay, all as old or even older than mine, but I will keep my eye on it. Hopefully something will turn up eventually!
Gambit Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 we had a member that had bought a car and updated with a bootleg disc it stopped it working until he got an original version. I'm guessing they have some sort of key encryption. Not impossible I'm sure to get round it but unless you know what to do.
