Oil leak help

Featured Replies

Basically I've noticed an oil leak on my 96 impreza turbo, heard rocker seals are pretty common but mine seems to be abit more unusual. Basically it's not leaving any oil on the floor and doesn't seem to be burning oil. But when I give her a bit of throttle I can smell oil burning and it turns out to be dripping onto my manifold. Could this still be the rocker seals? maybe the extra pressure of the boost is forcing it out? any help cheers :)

Rocker covers do tend to drip on the headers when they leak [emoji6] you could check the turbo oil drain pipe for splits or blockage as thats another likely culprit (if its drivers side)

If it is the rockers and they get replaced make sure you use genuine subaru gaskets and half moons
