My Legacy BP5 came with only one key. Being old and forgetful, a spare would be good idea. The key is a two-button remote with a triangular design peculiar to Japanese models. Subaru UK cannot/will not help and as soon as I mention the car's origins nor will any auto locksmith. Has anyone done the same with any success? If so, please let me know some details.

On a similar thread - Japanese auction sites have numerous keys, visually the same design, for sale. Can anyone explain of what use is a pre-cut, pre-programmed key to anyone else? There must be a reason, surely the lock design is different for every car?
