  1. I can't remember if it did it once In a blue moon before I put the new battery On, but since the new battery it's done it every now and then but today it's done it pretty much every time I've started the car,so annoying.
  2. Hi guys just wondering if anyone has came across this problem, when I start my car I get a loud chirp form the alarm, the car has recently had battery, alternator etc,I started it today after a few days standing and it turned over white slow(just removed a blue tooth dongle which was on permanent so hopefully this was flattening it) has anyone any idea why the alarm is chirping. Thanks
  3. Hi there I'm based in West Cumbria about an hour from Carlisle..
  4. Yeah I've had a visual look but can't see anything obvious but I don't really know what I'm looking at ,as I say I could do with someone In the know to have a look at it for me 😔
  5. Hi guys I've asked this before but still having no luck ,I'm based in Cumbria,I have a 06wrx ,full decat exhaust, panel filter,I have a horrible hissing noise say above 4 k revs, I've had it to three local garages who can't see anything, does anyone know of any garages/mechanics I'm my neck of the woods who could take a look at the car as it now is seriously annoying me to the point of getting rid Cheers
  6. No I don't have a boost gauge but I may try a Bluetooth one, it has the standard recirculation valve,I have looked at the pipes but tbh they look ok (but i don't know what to look for they seem in tact),just very frustrating that Ive no faith in anyone around here to check it out for me and I'm OCD with the noise lol .
  7. No not yet ,I don't think the anywhere near me capable of doing one
  8. Hi guys I have a 2005 blob with a cosworth panel filter and turbo back exhaust with decat downpipe, I've noticed a bad hissing noise when giving it some usually over 4k revs,I had the downpipe refitted but still the problem persists, I've had it too a few local garage's but there clueless, and I am definitely not mechanically minded, does anyone have any ideas or live locally to me(west Cumbria) or know of any garage's nearby that may have a clue,I can't see any obvious pipes loose or pinched around the throttle body or intercooler but doesn't mean there not! I have a YouTube clip that sounds very similar to my problem Any help would be much appreciated.
  9. Yeah I've heard good things about him, got in touched with a mechanic near me on my mates recommendation,he seems to know what he's talking about, so fingers crossed.
  10. Yeah, I tried them but gonna be week's before they have time,I didn't think fitting a decat downpipe to a car would be such a head ache , nevermind I'll try again with someone else surely someone will get it right soon 😞
  11. I hear the leaking sound when giving it some revs when driving hard, doesn't sound nice, yeah I'll have a look on Facebook, didn't think it would be so hard to do what I thought would be simple jobs, the joys of living at the back of beyond
  12. Hi guys just wondering if anyone could help me in the Cumbria vicinity, the mechanics in my neck of the woods are f####g useless, I've had a starter motor fitted, they didn't tighten up the boost pipes, ended up with a terrible boost leak, recently had a downpipe fitted by a so called WRX specialist, only put two nuts on the Turbo flange side leaving one missing, didn't tighten up the mid pipe end sufficient so it was rattling around, and leaking terriblydidn't put the donut gasket and spring bolts on , so got in touch with Scooby world who sent me a new donut gasket, took the car to two garages today and was told to come back when I have the right gasket for it, not realising the donut gasket fits inside the pipe and not just on the flange,so I'm left wth a donut gasket,a downpipe attached to the midpipe with rigid bolts and a crappy flat gasket,it rattles, I'm sure it leaks and now sounds like a boost or exhaust leak when I floor the car, so back to my original question, does anyone know of any garages in the west Cumbria area who can fit a donut gasket , Spring bolts and fathom where the boost leaks Coming from (probably exhaust) Cheers...
  13. Thanks a lot
  14. Or a 2006 blobeye?
  15. The mystery grows,I checked the engine number (as recommended by scooby clinic) it says ej20,2.0 right?, also phoned local stealer , who confirmed it was registered by Subaru from new as a 2.0 2006 WRX. Hmm
  16. We'll it's definitely a 2006 WRX hawkeye ive looked at the logbook and it definitely says 1994 cc, the reg is E20 WRX is someone could make some sense of it for me.doesnt seem like an import,is it possible it was misregistered when new as a 2.0 instead of s 2.5?.
  17. Anyone explain this then..06 Hawkeye,2.0
  18. That's what I thought but he says he's checked the tax bracket and it's coming up 300 a year which is the lower tax, surely the 2.5 would be the higher one, strange
  19. Hi guys just a quick question, my friend is looking at a 2006 WRX which is advertised as a 2.0,I told my friend I was sure that from that year the engine size should be a 2.5l engine, is this the last of the 2.0 engines? Thanks
  20. Not yet but I'll get them ordered now I know someone, how do I contact him
  21. Nice one cheers,it's a 2.0 WRX 2006
  22. Lol ,I'm just outside Whitehaven...
  23. Lol yeah true, I've tried cams at Blackburn but can't get hold of them, I'm gonna take it to Andy Forrest for ecutec remap at some point but he doesn't do any other work I don't think ,only mapping.
