  1. Mine's got a 2.1 stroker..it's a more torquey motor than the 2.0 with more urgency..great bit of kit!
  2. Hi, I would like to join the owner's club and get more involved in the scene but I've noticed that the forums all seem really quiet...I've been away from Subarus for a few years and it seemed busier back then...I'd like to be an active member on the forum, car club scene and 'do' stuff in my car with other enthusiasts/nerds... Has Facebook ruined it? I'm not on FB so i don't really know....and have never even logged in!! I'm serious..!! everything i hear about social media is negative....
  3. Subaru specs and more! http://www.autosnout.com/Car-Performance-Statistics.php?Specs&EditionID=640
  4. Yeah i remember seeing it up there last year..Kev tried to entice me with it! There's a great a build thread on Snet of his car...Is it still in good condition?
  5. same here...my classic is 358hp on a rebuilt 5 speed DCCD with taller 5th gear, but it's at it's absolute limit..if not a little bit beyond it...I'm not a clumsy driver, nor was the previous owner (who had all the work done) so it's fine, but the thought of a 6 speed low ratio JDM DCCD and 400+ keeps me awake at night.
  6. I have a 2.1 stroker and FMIC in mine..great fun..I haven't even had the car a week yet so I'm no expert, and am still learning the car..all i know, it's an absolute hoot.
  7. nice alloys.. I think the wagons are officially 'sleepers'...
  8. Hi Donnie, I joined the forum about 20 minutes before you (that makes me an expert) and also went through the whole, 'getting back into a Scooby' thing...Anyway, my advice...get one..even if it's only for a year...You're a long time pushing up the daises.
  9. This is build 004, but i think they've done about 6 now..A couple of the guys are on SNET have 002 and 004...
  10. Yes mate...A couple of years ago I gave up looking for a nice Type R and was thinking about getting a wide arch built...Anyway, this year i got the bug again but I was going out of my mind looking for a decent Type R and had basically given up, then this one came along..
  11. great read this was..now i need to go to bed... love grey Scoobies too..Great threar
  12. Call Scoobyclinic in Chesterfield mate. They usually have several engines in stock and awaiting rebuilds..Depending on the condition of the car and how much you love her, she could be worth a rebuild..JDM's are getting rarer and good ones have strong resale values...The only other alternative is stripping her for parts which is a hassle but you'll probably make a fair few quid, although it may be a long slog,
  13. If it's an import then iirc it doesn't require a cat because it doesn't need to meet EU regulations.
