Have forums had their day??
Hi, I would like to join the owner's club and get more involved in the scene but I've noticed that the forums all seem really quiet...I've been away from Subarus for a few years and it seemed busier back then...I'd like to be an active member on the forum, car club scene and 'do' stuff in my car with other enthusiasts/nerds... Has Facebook ruined it? I'm not on FB so i don't really know....and have never even logged in!! I'm serious..!! everything i hear about social media is negative....

new owner of a wrx 2.1 in south wales caerphilly
same here...my classic is 358hp on a rebuilt 5 speed DCCD with taller 5th gear, but it's at it's absolute limit..if not a little bit beyond it...I'm not a clumsy driver, nor was the previous owner (who had all the work done) so it's fine, but the thought of a 6 speed low ratio JDM DCCD and 400+ keeps me awake at night.

Hi Donnie, I joined the forum about 20 minutes before you (that makes me an expert) and also went through the whole, 'getting back into a Scooby' thing...Anyway, my advice...get one..even if it's only for a year...You're a long time pushing up the daises.

Call Scoobyclinic in Chesterfield mate. They usually have several engines in stock and awaiting rebuilds..Depending on the condition of the car and how much you love her, she could be worth a rebuild..JDM's are getting rarer and good ones have strong resale values...The only other alternative is stripping her for parts which is a hassle but you'll probably make a fair few quid, although it may be a long slog,- Decat exhaust Mot Issue ?
If it's an import then iirc it doesn't require a cat because it doesn't need to meet EU regulations.- Classic Type R wide body
Here's my "22R" built by Scoobyclinic. The original car was 30k mile V4 Type R, but has had a complete nut and bolt rebuild. 2.1 forged stroker..She's a beauty.- Another new member
Hi kids, I've recently bought my latest Scooby after many years away. I'm looking forward to getting involved and hopefully meeting some of you at car shows and meets. I'm on a few other forums (different screen name), so may see you on there! Here's the beast...Built by Scooyclinic and badged a '22R', but she started life as a 30k mile V4. - Tidgy's project Type R
