  5. spent all afternoon in there, moving **** about......... got everything sort of tidy, but i ended up with the car stuck in the middle of the garage........ its on dollys but its damp and ive sliped twice now and if i could have picked something up i would have chucked something ........... i just cant get a grip and i'm in pain all ready so this is'nt helping :(
  6. got it mate thanks..... i had a few issues getting it to open but am sorted now, just got to find the page
  7. they have (215/35/19's) all ready so its not all that bad, suppose its just a 30min wheel swap and a drive out with the satnav on to see how far out he speedo is . job for tomorrow i think........well one of them i promised my self a day on a tool hunt in the garage (tardis).... bigger on the inside etc...
  8. no need for lip rolling mate they fit under no probs ( ) that's why i fancied a change
  9. i think for the wagon 205/55/16 back in the day, the 224/45/17's i have on the wagon now are about 1/2 a mile out on the speedo because ive compared it with the sat nav speed's and i would have thought the sat nav would have been correct.
  10. no as i said ive got 17's on my wagon now and was thinking of going up to 19's for a change, ive a spare set of 19 knocking about and i just wondered what other peoples thoughts were on the subject ;)
  11. anybody running 19's on their scoob , what's the ride like ive got (215/35/19's) on at the moment should i go up a couple of sizes on the wall height? maybee 225/40/19? not really checked how much room ive got till i start rubbing the coil pirch (no pun intended) ;) but ive got 17's on the wagon now and i like them good ride not too hard
  12. oh, i'll let you off lol ....... i usually like to do a bit of networking while am there
  13. just HAd a look at the page but durhams a tad far, might give the guy in notts a look might go over next week with the calipers
  14. am looking to do the same thing, ive got room but not sure whats involved
  15. i gave them a try yesterday but no joy, got a contact in notts whos got a dipping company and can do carbon fiber effect and other designs ,but i don't want them to bling or chav either if you know what i mean .
  16. ohhh ive just had a message regarding the calipers..... i could have them dipped ;)
  17. need to find in manchester/lancashire area an ANODISING company, that i can take calipers to and have re-colored anyone know of any places that i could use? ive contacted a company in radcliffe but no joy and i dont want to powdercoat this pair of COMP BRAKE CALIPERS.
  18. i used to use grease but it took ages to get the grease out of the passageways. the grease method was ok but messy and it doesn't matter what you use to get them out it still makes a bang and if your fingers are in the way it hurts i can tell you.... so now ive converted a blow gun that i can screw into the banjo thread part of the caliper and inflate them so as pushing the pistons out most of the time this works fine but there is always one that's well and truly stuck and not for moving .
  19. ive just got another set of calipers to recondition. typical 4 pot sticking piston's one on each caliper, nipple side on the bottom piston each set ive done always seems to have the same fault their either solid or only half working. i have taken photos of stripping the calipers down to their core units ready to be blasted, ported, painted and re-built using all new seals and or reconditioned parts new pad pins & spring clips, nipples, banjos and pistons if needed.
  20. ok thanks i'll have a look see if it helps me, i do have a manual on a disc but the thing won't open on my desktop only the laptop , and i just hate laptops......... and its not easy to find anything relevant
