  1. Adam i liked challenges, back in the day i did rover v8 4 ltr into Opel manta hatch, and have a Cosworth turbo into manta coupe which i still need to finish. the legacy is in full working order (1997 legacy gt twin turbo) The classic is of 1999 vintage on drums and small calipers, its not a problem as i recondition brakes and ive got a couple of 4 pot sets that am currently working on and a custom rear disc set up not using Subaru calipers but will be a bolt on alternative and a 330mm compB road caliper kit the size of discs all depend on the size of wheels i'll end up using. Everything on the saloon will be removed in turn as i was going to be swapping everything over axle/shafts/prop/b-box/engine & cross-member/brakes/exhaust's/loom etc.... I was thinking it should be virtually like for like even down to some of the interior fittings or am i being toooo ;) eager? The ECU will be stock for the moment as am not to clue'd up on that side of the proceedings ....... yet....but am sure it will be a eye opener for a while till i get onto that page. With you having a legacy whats the performance like for a day to day user and is the ecu mappable or is it a ESL addition i would be looking at in the future, i feel a good old photo session and spanner by spanner write up coming on :D its a pity we don't have a quarterly magazine to look forward to like the good old days of car clubs !
  2. that's what i was thinking too, and its got two turbos..... :D
  3. try MILLERS octain booster If you can find some
  4. ive used it when i serviced my scoobwagon, twice now and it makes a difference after a couple of tank fill ups, better throttle response etc
  5. postage and package £4.99 insured delivery i would expect?
  6. has anyone fitted a legacy twin turbo in a classic, as ive got or can get my hands on a legacy and fancy a small challenge, its complete and running fine :) and the scoob is a non turbo classic and has a head gasket problem and its not worth much but too good to scrap so we fancy a track-day car or something a little out of the ordinary ,but i don't know how much out of the ordinary it will be . so if anyone has had any hands on experience in this department please indulge me ;) before i make any further moves
  7. i was gonna do the next set yellow, watch this space
  8. well the stud holes are in the same place, that's a start. when you fitted them were the struts std items?
  9. Just got my self a pair of top mounts for the classic attachment=883:1402220_550987821643794_1567375843_o.jpg] i know i should have saved them and let Santa drop them down the chimney or at least wrap them in festive paper... BUT.... ITS CHRISTMAS ! PS check out the web site http://www.compbrake.com/
  10. its red for me, but ive just been asked to do a pair in blue to match a car,
  11. wot its not a good evening or welcome?
  12. the K&N induction kit I used was noticeably louder on the induction note and better cold starts, so far happy with it
  13. good Evening and welcome ;)
  14. that's what i said too about my wagon 18 mths ago , just keep it std as its only used for collecting spares and advertising etc i said. :D ... till my classic's serviced and remapped i said..... :D but i just couldn't keep my bonnet down... . ;) i'll just re-condition my brakes ;) suspension needed sorting so.. i just needed to re place the gators and a clean up . :) all the padding in my back box decided to fall out the other week so i'll just throw a st/st item on there i think ive replaced most serviceable items now with up rated ones , drop links-anti roll bar rubbers-control arm bushes last items to change are the tyres now ive woken up to a flat one this morning the best buy i got was a SD PLAYER NO MORE CD'S.. .. THATS IT NOW ....................................... or is it?
  15. https://www.facebook.com/groups/240613639436259/ there is a lot of interest in sorting a charity event do you think it's something we could get involved in?

  17. that's cheep mate, do it. i got my classic done when i 1st got her looks 100 times better, ive also got a saloon with limo tint in the back ( but its a tad dark i think especially in this weather
  18. yep floor paint , rain...... grrrrrrrr
  19. spent all afternoon in there, moving **** about......... got everything sort of tidy, but i ended up with the car stuck in the middle of the garage........ its on dollys but its damp and ive sliped twice now and if i could have picked something up i would have chucked something ........... i just cant get a grip and i'm in pain all ready so this is'nt helping :(
  20. got it mate thanks..... i had a few issues getting it to open but am sorted now, just got to find the page
  21. they have (215/35/19's) all ready so its not all that bad, suppose its just a 30min wheel swap and a drive out with the satnav on to see how far out he speedo is . job for tomorrow i think........well one of them i promised my self a day on a tool hunt in the garage (tardis).... bigger on the inside etc...
  22. no need for lip rolling mate they fit under no probs ( ) that's why i fancied a change
  23. i think for the wagon 205/55/16 back in the day, the 224/45/17's i have on the wagon now are about 1/2 a mile out on the speedo because ive compared it with the sat nav speed's and i would have thought the sat nav would have been correct.
  24. no as i said ive got 17's on my wagon now and was thinking of going up to 19's for a change, ive a spare set of 19 knocking about and i just wondered what other peoples thoughts were on the subject ;)
