  1. Ill get back in one somehow dont care how long it takes 😂
  2. Ive been away from subaru for a while now I seriously miss the experience. But my god the prices have moved north a bit. Need to stick to the old octavia for a while yet unless I can find one with a gubbed engine or something. Sad times lol
  3. It was when the wrx went to 2.5 engine that the pre cat in uppipe was was removed. My bugeyes upipe never destroyed itself and it was driven like it had rabies your call with what to do. The sti versions were catless uppipes
  4. Prodrive kit for newage wrx changes the secondary cat for a sports cat think you then get a cat back ecu tinkered and a silicone Y pipe under the intercooler. The secondary cat is directly after the down pipe. Did you get a certificate as proof? The upipe is probably worth doing if your keeping long term cause it will be much cheaper than the damage it would cause if it gives up saying that I had 2 wrx’s with it in place go over 100k miles without breaking suppose depends on how you drive it and how the car runs.
  5. My power graph is pretty flat at the moment 🤣
  6. Ive just decided to sell it ill really miss it but right now I just dont have the time or money to look into repairing. Start saving for a new adventure possible in a sti 😉
  7. Alright im in scotland aswell where are ye? Tbh a cold air intake by its self is abit pointless best to just put better panel filter in unless your doing more mods/ remap
  8. Have a look at your maf sensor might be dirty
  9. Look into that seal aswell think its rear main seal or something worth getting that out the way at same time
  10. I dont think it needs to come out but ive heard its easier with the engine out. Im not certain to be honest guess it depends who does the work. Why dont you contact a few subaru specialists and ask for quotes remember too alot of guys dont like fitting parts that you supply, im just trying to give you a ball park figure 👍 My car had clutch done not long before I bought it, its one of the few problems I dont have with mine 🤣😂
  11. Also seen this on jdm solutions might be away now but says brand new and comes with flywheel. Stage 2 though bit if you plan to mod might be an option
  12. Hey man ive had a search for you if you go to the website in the pic you will see they say you either need your flywheel skimmed or replaced at the same time. You would need to obviously factor in labour aswell possibly talking about £800+. Bear in mind there are other options out there this pic is just an example could try import car parts or other scooby parts specialists too
  13. Aw god yeah thats not a great look 😂 maybe they changed the wheel in 05 mines is 04 and it has the momo wheel
  14. Shouldnt your wrx have a momo steering wheel ?
  15. Yeah I think as savage said it was alot to do with it being ice cold when tested
  16. Yeah it failed emissions it was fast idle co levels first run was 0.70 2nd was 0.29. Could it be the uppipe giving up that has caused that? The sports cat is only a couple years old It might have been the tool you are talking about that he used I wasnt there im just sure he said screwdriver. Im not overly bothered about that but cause it would still be rotting even if he didnt poke it at least I know now.
  17. Sub £500 would be great man i could sort that no bother think ill start by getting the brake pipes sorted then can take it to get prices for the rot repairs. Its my birthday at the weekend so might get some money to throw at it 😆
  18. Yeah man I need to get it to a specialist/ or get a serious look under to properly Understand where I stand. Will at least start the process and if it gets to much can sell it as a project or parts car 👍
  19. Top man tidgy thank you im sure ive seen them on icp website. Feel abit better about it now just gonna take my time and try to get it back to its former glory i know for a fact if i sell it ill just end up buying another one anyway 🤣😂
  20. Yeah I thought that with the u shape bit cheers man
  21. Oohh thats a beauty enjoy. how you finding the driving experience compared to other cars youve had?
  22. Yeah stuart I think hes talkin s hit about the Sports cat aswell If anything the uppipe maybe failed it 🤷‍♂️, its the sills, rear brake pipes and the front subframe but its the u shaped bit which im sure isnt actually the subframe but pointless to argue really, yeah savage im now thinking I might just leave it off road and slowly work on it would be a good learning opportunity need to get under to take pictures so you guys can see if it beyond repair if i sell it ill just end up way another one 😂
  23. Lol bit annoying looking at the underneath and seeing he has poked holes all over it but i take it thats just how the test its sound. Tried to explain about the sports cat aswell be he said I guarantee if i cut it open nothing will be in it 🤷‍♂️ Soo gutted really enjoy driving it
  24. Yeah i know nightmare had same issue with my last one. I didnt think it looked that bad but the mot testers screwdriver disagreed 😂
  25. As my title says today has been a heartbreaker my wrx failed its mot on corrosion and emissions. Im considering selling it and saving up for an sti what do you think it is worth with no mot. It has sti bodywork and 108k mi on it opinions?
