  1. No it wont....I didnt like the green/turquoise colour it was, but I'm sure I sure I could have lived with it, as it wasnt stuffed with go faster sh1te I'll either need to try and put this one back to original (then I'd probably be ok) or sell as you say and look for another Here's the last one, nothing great I know but was fine for me :( Tried to 3 photos up from tinypic but said I wasnt allowed....dont know what happened or why
  2. I should have went for an original one....hard lesson learnt, never been one for changing stuff in cars, so god knows why I went for this
  3. I appreciate the link Jay but it'll be a standard one I'll go for....the last sub wagon I had a couple of years ago was original and had the twin chrome pipes at the back, also had a sunroof...why the hell I sold it god knows It also had nicer clocks ie the big speedo, smaller rev counter, the fuel and temp gauge were at the left, had the flip up cuby hole above the heater too...better stop talking, I'm pi55ing myself off thinking about it
  4. Why would taking the fic off be alot of work, it's only bolts and pipes, and the same putting the top one on I'm going to seriously think about putting back to original, and if it has to be mapped again then fair enough, I'll never use the so called 300ish hp bollox it's claimed to have....I like the car for what it is ie shape, 4 wheel drive, as for interior (well dash)...!Removed!...but i know they were never the !Removed! strong point
  5. I dont know the name of it but will check shortly, I also dont like the size of the end of it, it's to big for my liking, I thought of putting the car back to standard, ie taking the fic, cone, exhaust the lot, off
  6. As I'm sick to the fkn teeth of the noise, and wondered if I can do it, if I can it's getting done, otherwise I'll be putting a full standard system on and selling this
  7. Or one welded in place....it's when there's a fmic fitted and you want to take it out, if the main beam's cut, can a new one be bought or would what's left of the original need have something welded in place
  8. Just had a a good chat with him....he said he's allways the red one (his as I thought new one) I thought he just got it (must have picked him up wrong) there was black smoke coming out it and didnt know what it was. He then got the other one (the one I went to see) and thought about an engine swap and make good car out the 2, but someone said to put a new maf in it, he did and fixed it, and said to himself, just sell the one he got as it's not needed. It was mot'd when he got but the tax was about to run out (hence sorned), probably drove it about a bit to see it was ok before doing the engine change, and that's when he's spoke to some that's said you should have changed the maf before getting another car.
  9. I know, it could be, I really dont understand why someone would do that unless there's a problem somewhere, like I say, if there is, why not just spend the money on getting it fixed then you know it's fine, instead of getting another the same but knowing nothing about it. The only thing I can think of, is that the one he's selling's got quite a big fmic and wondering if the front beam's been cut away, because if has, the front will cave in in a bump....I'm probably talking bollox though, and it's problems somewhere else
  10. Would i be buying a duffer... I'm about to get a 99 wrx wagon...but the guy selling it's got a 00/01 the same model, he said he's had the 99 for about 6 months but just wanted a slightly new one and diffient colour (red). I'm struggling to as why anyone would do that unless the one they're selling's got turbo, engine ect problems and not saying. If it does have problems, would he not have better fixing them then he'd know it was ok I got a go in it but not a good one as it's sorned and he didnt want to drive far at all, the gearlever's a bit sloppy so was hard to find the gears at times. Both cars have more/less the same miles ie about 12000....I'm begining to think I should look for another because he bought another just a year newer....if he didnt do that, I'd be none the wiser, but he did
  11. I'll try them, KM's out, they're at £520
  12. But how much are folk for Impreza wrx ins....I'm in my late 40s with 9 yrs nc's and a decent p/code and cant get much below 500 ...also waiting for a phone back from KM
  13. Prefer estates or wagons as they call them here....both are
  14. Doesnt matter....will wait
  15. Yes another one....I dont currently have a Subaru of any kind but been looking at a few Imprezas, I'm near Ayr, dont know what else to say but maybe think of something
