  3. Nice one matev :) keep me posted.
  4. Go somewhere like Powerflow or Exhaust Uk if you want to travel, both are reasonably priced but expect to pay around the £180 mark.
  5. Your welcome and some self tappers did the job, its fiddly with the wheel on but can be done :)
  6. I have the same and mine are setup exactly the same as how you mentioned.
  7. I shall keep you informed on the price as mine is currently in Subaru services having a full strip due to leaking from Every gasket, a tip if you do it your self do not just use Gasket sealer like the idiot who rebuilt the engine in mine did or expect problems further down the line.
  8. So got the news today that ive got to have the engine out as its leaking like a colander and have decided I may as well upgrade the other parts to get it to my desired bhp goals. As titles suggests im after a TD05 that doesn't need a rebuild. I also have two great TD04 one is currently on my car and is making 16psi and no smoke, the other is one I obtained to replace the broken one on my old car and has only covered 40k again no play or smoke. looking for £60 +P&P Ea which considering condition is reasonable :)
  9. Martin did have a lot of spare parts lying around ask him first, ive found I have both rockers leaking and my sump :(
  10. Yeah cheers, ive had a full read and although its probably teaching a few veteran owners to suck eggs the newer owners will find the information useful.
  11. have a look at the holy grail post mate, I believe its mentioned in there
  12. http://www.enginemapper.co.uk/Engine_Mapper_s_Subaru_Tuning_Guide_V1.1.pdfwindows 8 is being absolutely shite, copy and paste this link into your search bar. http://www.enginemapper.co.uk/Engine_Mapper_s_Subaru_Tuning_Guide_V1.1.pdf
  13. Well this is the third time lucky, as such the thread will be considerably shorter than my previous two attempts lol. Long story short I was searching for information regarding fitting a recirculating DV to a tuned Subaru as im more a fan of chatter than I am of the Ptcccch. in short the standard TD04 isn't built internally to run a recirc if the boost is turned up due to its weaker internals unless its a hybrid. from the TD05 series up its perfectly safe to run a recirculating DV, this gets rid of the common myth of it will blow your turbine up ETC ETC, if you want to flame go ahead but do rally cars have DV or do they have a recirculating one ;) they are built more often I agree, however I digress. I came across a website that I believe is relevant to Old and New owners of Scoobies as there is a lot of information in here that most people will know some of but not all of :). I give to you the Holy Grail and shall now be known forever more as Indiana Jones.
  14. Hello and welcome and as Stanton said keep looking and even post a preferred date you would like in the Yorkshire meet.
  15. Hello and welcome, we have a new meet up and coming for the Yorkshire Area with one of the trusted mechanics should you need any work doing in the future :)
  16. ive spoken to martin and he is good whenever, im just waiting to get rockers gaskets done on Monday and then she will be operational again, shall we say a February date is better or would people like an end of Jan date.
  17. loads on ebay or go to a breakers yard, stay away from the Chinese imports as I hear the price is very tempting, failing that Andy Forrest was selling the for the £300 mark.
  18. (waits for gambits lame excuse) would Feb be better ?
  19. I hit one once and it was like hitting a wall, took ages for the flesh and fur to burn off the exhaust too :(
  20. greeting :0 and welcome to all things Scooby and general Chit chat ;)
  21. it will be a straight swap however, and take my advice from personal experience it wont run bang on, different mileage, engine wear, fuel etc etc with be different from what the map will be and there will be plenty of variables, I did this as a cheap alternative to getting it remapped and still ended up forking out for the remap on top of the ECU :/ to get it corrected.
  22. I nearly got one instead of this scoob that I have now, im going to put it up on Swapz to see what I get offered as I just fancy a change and think once ive received about 50 offers of "check out ma sik saxo mate with my rice exhaust that add500bhp and my ripspeed GTR badge that's instantly better than a remap" ill change my mind haha.
  23. drive club is going to be better not to mention gran turismo, and I will do :)
