TIA

  7. Hi all I've been the owner of my 2002 JDM Bugeye WRX STI since the end of January I got it reasonably cheap ( the pictures will show why 😉) so the plan was to tidy it up and move it on, however due to the unforeseen circumstances I was getting stupid offers on it so I pulled the sale and sat on it until a week ago I decided to get it taxed and insured... ... I shouldn't of I've never been in one let alone driven one before, I never drove it to the mot station they came and got it on trade plates. I've always been in to my cars spent nearly 20years as a general mechanic ( then another 15 odd as a welder fabricator) By far this is the fastest car I've had the pleasure of owning ( at the moment it drives like a pig pulling heavily to the right) but the pick up / acceleration is addictive) Generally I like to do some mods to my cars, over the years I've done power mods, engine swaps, body mods ICE etcetera. I've done a bit of reading over the net and it seems these cars hold strong money so rather than going down the mod route I'm probably looking at going down the concors route. The paint is in pretty good condition but being an import the underside is in pretty poor no major rust has set in the shell so I'm fairly lucky. The plan is to run it for a year sort out handling and braking issues (new discs arriving this week) the pull it off the road and go to town on it repaint the underneath I guess you get the idea. 🙂 Anyhow enough of the waffle some pics of when I first inspected it and after a good clean. Kind regards Clive.
  8. It's not your crappy cone filter, I would guess its more likely to be your water pump over time impellers wear down reducing the flow rate as the water isn't circulating as fast the system is unable to cope with higher temps under load or the cooling system could just need a flush which is where I'd start first.
