  1. I must have miss read something somewhere haha
  2. Well I'm not sure what to say really I agree with Dave but understand what you're saying. And I thought my luck was bad :(

I don't have access to a barge pole so I just shag anything.
  4. It should be as long as the weather is good unlike the 1st one looked like it was a bit of a washout from the pictures.
  5. I do like to see the Hellas behind the grills :)
  6. Gambit replied to Gambit's topic in Car Shows
Haha thats the spirit. I'm sure some members can pick you up for the events or drive you in your car :D
  7. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C Nice to see even more local Scooby owners making there way here :) As for local specialists we're a bit thin on the ground around here really for them. Any big work I drive through to Sheffield and let Martin at Sheffield Subaru Services do the work I can't say it enough absolutely top guy and great prices. I would say the other nearest one we have is in Horncastle Chandlers I know a few local Subaru owners go there. Mate of mine Dan down Railway Street who owns Dj Services isn't to bad for some work too if it's like brakes you want changing if you can't do them yourself. I'm also looking at getting a local meet going if that would interest you ? It's just for local members and subaru owners of all models to meet up and get to know each other. And I would like to see if I can get it sorted for once a month. Just hit a bit of a snag at the minute as to where it will be I'm trying to get the White Horse in Marshchapel but it's owned by the parish council who wants public liability insurance as you might have seen if you have had a look around the forum. But if you haven't please feel free too, and to join in amazing bunch on here very friendly so don't worry about making new posts or joining in on the old ones :D But I'm sure you will have or will see me driving around so give us a wave. :)

I think that would be Boot's wouldn't it But between us as S.O.C members you might top it for local events but I guess I will win for main event's with Japfest 2. Slacker ;)

Now theres a charity event thought King removes right leg for charity and gets adds removed from S.O.C ;)
  10. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C I see you're from Sheffield I would recommend ringing Martin who's on here at Sheffield Subaru Services he's a top bloke won't charge you anything unless he does work on it and will advise you on the phone. Top guy I even do a 178 mile round trip to have work done by him. But I will asking has the car been modified i.e has anti lag on it ? Not heard of a car just shooting off when driving unless it has been tuned for it.

Thanks :) I just think we have a great community here and wouldn't want to change that or make anyone of the members new or old feel they would need to pay to keep up with us or restrict anyone from being part of the club. I will take it to the boss man with ideas see what he says with paid membership and put across what I would like to see and see where we go from there. But great to see support for us that like the events to build up on :D
  12. Be great if you can I do want to do it as a monthly thing but not willing to pay loads for it when it's all going to be due to weather permitting I might ever only get 8 weeks in a whole year where it's able to be hosted on the field. :) will try some insurances tomorrow as well as looking at other places. The boating lake near me seems to be a popular choice but full of chavs that park down there and not the best place in the world. But does have a KFC and a Mcdonalds :D
  13. Oh my bad non turbo. No you will be better off trying to get less weight and look at brakes suspension that sort of thing to get the best out of it I'm afraid.

I think it might be a way forward. But I don't want to limit the forums to non paying members. We did that in the last club I was Moderator of with the keyrings and stickers but they locked parts of the forum off, to non paying members which I think is wrong really. I know it's not business minded and believe me when money is involved I'm pretty quick on it :D But would like to see people pay because they enjoy being here and to help the club than feel they need to be penalised to take full part on the forums or at events, if that makes sense. But removing the advertisements to paid members and a nice little badge to say they're a contributor with a welcome gift pack I would be happy to see :)
  15. I did think that but I thought how sad is that going to be stood at a gate telling people to sign a disclaimer. In the case you're Mr Bump from the Mr Men Books in disguise that during the time on such field, and viewing the cars they maybe a sudden dip hidden in the grass that could result in a bruised ego skin or broken bones or even death. if any of these does take place please sign here to confirm you agree you take your own life in your own hands. Seems Sky Insurance offer a club cover I wonder if flux do the same. might have to speak with Dan on here
  16. Good choice I would have gone for a Golf too just because I've had loads of Focus cars, but good strong cars and nippy little hatchbacks :)
  17. 3rd that was darker and also think it was a 4 door we have a member on here with one. Didn't it have a special set of alloy's too like the prodrive do ? I will have a look for the picture of the 555 on here he helped Hails with her wedding car :) long time ago being sold http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/1028-subaru-impreza-555-wrx/ And Hails photos with a 555 on it http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/gallery/member/801-hails555/
  18. Ohhhh now I know why you have been in A&E but fighting with the sales advisor in GAME for a free copy of watchdogs wasn't worth it ;) But it is an amazing game :)
  19. Cheers bud :) I like !Removed! And Nigel how the hell did you do that, and I don't want to hear how you rescued some cat from a burning house and had to headbutt through the brick wall to escape
  20. You can do all sorts of upgrades mate seen some amazing foresters done up. I will leave this here ;)
  21. Cusco's not that scary ;) But if I had been closer I would have gone just to look at the new STI I wouldn't even be bothered about speaking to anyone
  22. Hello mate welcome to S.O.C :) unless you're going to buy another STI to just about swap all of it over I wouldn't really do the transplant with engines be better off just buying one that is good to go. :)
  23. No I thought it did I spoke to someone at the pub, who told me it belongs to the parish council even though you have to go through the pub to get to it. So I have spoken to someone on the council about it, and the pubs happy with us there not surprising really it's footfall and revenue. And so was the woman I 1st spoke to on the council, but's she has now spoken to the other people and they now want a public liability insurance certificate :( I do know about another playing field with a local pub but I'm sure I might hit the same snag again :( just with another parish but I'm happy to still try. I've already started to look at other venues to see if we can get someone to host it.

Any news on the prices mate I know Steve wants to know how cheap you can get them too. To see what he can do, but I will even look at getting two if we can get enough interest with donations.
  25. Well I did a quick quote the least amount it would do the insurance for was £1,000.000 I might go and fall over myself ;) but £265 it's a non profit meet each car should have insurance I understand it's for the public. I know a guy who does bouncy castles local I did think about seeing if he wanted to set one up and make it a bit more car club and family day out in one. But I'm not willing to pay for it like that. but I know his insurance might cover it if he's willing. I think might be better either speaking with one of my sisters whose a local MP not that I support Fib Dems yes she's an idiot :D Or look elsewhere I do know a few places just thought it would be more ideal. and never once thought that insurance for a car meet that I can hold in any car park for free was going to ever be my 1st problem. :(
