  1. You're welcome mate And I would say they will be hard to get and common to go too. So would say be one of the 1st things that is sold of a car being broken A list of breaks that might be able to help is here http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/593-subaru-breakers-for-parts/ Couple more I know will get the details for you when I get chance :)
  2. That is a smart bit of kit. That's the sort of interface I want on the CarPC and sounds about the same as what I came across today that I've installed has 18 sensors it can check though. But not sure how it will work until I get playing with it. But that would be more ideal for your needs less weight nice size too my screens 7" I'd lose the stereo and mount it there :D unless you want to get really clever and use the sun visor :D looks thin enough
  3. That's pretty smart I like that :D
  4. You're right it's one or the other not sure be able to say which one with out getting them out and looking I'd also look at the plugs. I'd give ebay a check see if you can find any on there or look at some breakers yards. Main stealers will be a rip off I'd say :( And welcome to S.O.C :)
  5. It looks great mate. I meant of the break calipers sorry. But feel free to post some more of the car up I do like a bit of car !Removed! ;)
  6. Out of interest what car you looking at next ?
  7. I don't think anyone does notice a difference with a filter or induction kit change. But as Jay said once you start looking the pounds soon go down :D
  8. It will don't think it will stop the dirt an dust though ;)
  9. Cool we will be here waiting ;)
  10. It wasn't cheap by any means and still doing work on it but the touchscreen was maybe the biggest cost then messing about fitting it. THIS was the 1st boot up of it after month's of planning ;) and the apps for the software I use to listen to music. But through it I can put a GPS unit my phone you name it. But like the real time status is all working progress at the minute not looked into the gps or phone side of it yet. :D But the idea is to have everything all running from the PC be like Airforce one :D
  11. I agree sounds like you have bigger calipers on already the two in the garage are 2001 and 2005 models with the same breaks as you at a guess. I'd maybe look at better discs and pads. Can you get a picture uploaded ? be better to tell from that :D
  12. Just have to be careful then not to scratch it I guess
  13. Just got another one that looks like gauges but doesn't have all the info just what you can see on the screen. Only downside is you need to get yourself a PC now mate :D But will let you know how well it works once I've got it all fitted and working again. And you can see keeps playing the music so I'm happy you brought this up as I wouldn't have found these ;)
  14. I have that all ready mate works fine on ipad tablets phones and can't fault it, I recommend everyone to have it :D. I was on about a working PC I've built and fitted in the car with touchscreen ;) just got the apps as I'm using the carPC at the minute because my youngest killed my other one the other day :( And my new one I've ordered wont be here until 2nd. So had to take it out the car and rig it up to use in the house. Here's screen shots of the app will get it fitted in again on the 2nd and look at getting it connected up to the OBDII. Looks like it gives me all real time readings and can look at error codes and reset them too :D
  15. I was thinking about trying to rig my In car PC some how to mine to give me readings but not sure how without plugging it into to the OBDII port all the time. And then would want some display software. But it's also used as my music player so wouldn't be on all the time . Just came across this that works with my PC's software will try it http://www.centrafuse.com/apps/details/67 http://www.centrafuse.com/apps/details/146 http://www.centrafuse.com/apps/details/28
  16. Loads better :D Did you give it a few coats of lacquer ?
  17. Yeah I remember had a few now asking, yet to see any cheap or even on Ebay being sold as of yet. But I don't look everyday ;)
  18. Nooooo keep the scoop :D I like the idea but I love the power bulge when sitting in the car and seeing it :D Top job so far with the calipers too certainty needed doing :)
  19. Cheers Tim hope you had a great Birthday and Christmas. And Happy New year to all the staff and yourself at Opieoils :)
  20. Looks good seen them before but I went with what I liked more with two gauges with the EVO's it's the start up display that did it for me :D Did think about getting the oil temp but like you lot didn't want loads of gauges and I think 3 on the drivers side pillar look's to much and not a fan of them in the middle of the dash I like my clock.
  21. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C And as Jay pointed out had a few in the past few months from the Landrover side :) Not sure what your budget is but I'd have a look at the Subaru XV Dogconker has a very nice looking one :)
  22. Hi welcome to S.O.C Looks like Jays covered most of it :)
  23. I've not done it myself. But as Jay has said should work fine but might effect the siren, if you do it have to let us know though ;)
  24. No just slap it in mate like you would going in bareback be fine
  25. Hi mate been awhile but I guess I can see why :o least nobody was hurt. Hondas for ya What I can see B) looks good :) I think the rev clock need's a small amount of voltage to let it know where it should be if I remember someone telling me many moons ago. So I think it will drop back once plugged back in.
